MKE Week 1 – Ready to Dive In

This is my second year participating in the Master Key Experience. Because I made the commitment to myself to complete the course last year I was able to create new habits that have endured. One of those habits is my morning swim. I wake up most mornings and start my day by swimming 50 or so laps in the pool. I am in the water before the sun comes up. This was one of the changes I manifested in my life because MKE gave me the tools to do so – and believe me I am not a morning person.

I love the feeling when I walk out of the gym and the sun is now shining on a new day. I feel refreshed and ready, having already accomplished my first goal.

I have found that if I want to make it to the pool, and overcome the inevitable resistance that my alarm clock brings at 5am, I need to prepare the night before. I pack my gym bag, work bag and lunch. I pick out my clothes and lay my bathing suit out.

After I logged off this week’s webcast I wrote out my Blueprint Builder, gathered colored pencils and index cards, organized my notebook and dusted off my reading materials. I thought about how this preparation is like getting ready for my swim the night before. I’m packing my bag and preparing to dive in – SPLASH!
