MKE Week 1 – Third Time Is A Charm?
Well, here I am again., I’m starting the Master Key Experience for the third time.
There’s a part of me that smiles when I say that, and another part that feels a little embarrassed. I’ve started this journey twice before, and I didn’t completely complete the course either time. Life happened, I got distracted, old patterns took over, and somewhere along the way, I stopped showing up.
So, starting again comes with mixed emotions; I’m excited. I’m curious. I’m hopeful.
And, if I’m being completely honest, I’m also a little nervous about putting this journey into words and sharing it with other people. Blogging about my progress means letting myself be seen. And there’s a part of me that wonders, What if I don’t follow through this time either?
That’s an uncomfortable question, but maybe I don’t need to have that answer right now. Maybe I just need to be willing to start—and then keep showing up.
This time, I don’t want to pretend that I have it all figured out. I want to be honest about the process. If I’m excited, I want to share that. If I’m struggling, I want to be honest about that too. And if I discover something that changes the way I see myself or what I believe is possible, I want to capture that along the way.
Because there’s something that keeps pulling me back to this experience. And doing this in partnership with my wife is very exciting! I have this feeling that there is more available to me than I’ve allowed myself to see. I don’t know exactly what that “more” looks like yet, and maybe that’s what makes this so interesting.
What could happen if I really commit this time? What could I discover about myself? What might be possible if I stop getting in my own way and actually give the process a chance? I don’t know, but I really want to find out.
So, this is me starting again. A little nervous, a little excited, probably a little too much in my head—and intending that this time I’ll stay curious, stay committed, and see where this journey can take me.
Here’s to beginning again! And this time, staying for the whole journey.
