MKE Week 1 – Coming Back to the Master Key Experience
Here I am again. I first took the Master Key Experience in 2016, and coming back this time has already shown me just how different I am—and how different my experience can be.
Looking back, I realize that had I truly been able to apply what I was learning the first time around, I would probably be much further ahead today. But because of what was happening in my life at the time, I honestly wasn’t in a place where I could fully take it in, much less put it into practice.
At the time, I really was doing my best with where I was emotionally and mentally. I thought I was plugged in and giving it everything I had. Looking back now, though, I can see that I wasn’t nearly as plugged in as I thought I was.
My life today has calmed down more than it has in many, many years. There is still a high level of stress at times, but considering everything, I think I handle it very well. And that difference alone has given me the space to show up for this experience in a completely different way. That’s been an eye-opener.
I’m only at the beginning this time, and I’m already doing things I didn’t do from the start in 2016. I’m showing up differently. I’m more disciplined. I’m paying attention. I’m actually applying what I’m learning instead of simply trying to keep up. And I have to laugh at myself a little because my attention span can still be like a squirrel in a yard full of bird feeders. One thing catches my attention, then another, then—wait, what was I doing again?
Add in the fact that I’m a little technologically challenged, and I definitely have some areas where I get to stretch and grow. But that’s actually what excites me.
Growth has always been a passion of mine. I love discovering what I’m capable of, recognizing where I can improve, and becoming a stronger version of myself.
I’m also realizing that I probably got more out of my first Master Key Experience than I gave myself credit for. Something about it stayed with me, because I always wanted to come back and do it again. I just didn’t have the energy to make that commitment until now.
This time, I’m not simply repeating a class. I’m coming back as a different person. I’m more present. I’m more disciplined. I’m more aware of where I tend to lose focus. And most importantly, I’m excited to see what happens when I really plug in and give myself the opportunity to experience what I wasn’t able to fully receive the first time.
So here we go—round two. Same Master Key Experience. Different me. And I’m excited to see who I unveil this time around.

This is my 2nd time through, too! You can do this!
